When I was in high school during the late 80s, I played guitar in a rock band with some friends. One summer, our drummer went to stay with his dad and he let me keep his drum set while he was away. Well, I got the bright idea to record my first song. I chose to do a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll.” I would record a track on one tape deck while playing back previous takes on a second tape deck. Unfortunately, the decks did not run at the same speed, so what started out as an uptempo rock tune ended up sounding like a down tuned dirge! Although the recording wasn’t very successful, I became fascinated by the mixing process.
Fast forward to the new millennium. With the dawn of DAWs, I jumped head first into the new digital domain and began recording demo after demo of original songs, and every Christmas I would give my family CDs of holiday arrangements that I had recorded and produced. Over the 20 years since, I have recorded singles, EPs and albums for local artists, produced live and studio albums for churches, recorded and mixed concert and marching bands for national demo releases, recorded artist demos for movie producers, and even still manage to bug my family with another Christmas arrangement now and then.
So while I focus much of my work on composing and film scoring, I LOVE the mixing process and I have 20 years experience creating great sounding recordings. I have a great suit of tools, both in-the-box and outboard hardware, to produce a professional, polished mix, whether it be a single, an EP, or a full album. If you need added tracks, such as guitar or bass, or even a string orchestra, I can supply those, too.
So if you are interested in having your tracks mixed or are in need of professional parts added, just go to the Contact Info page and send me your information and let’s get started!
